Treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms with a medtronic aneurx endovascular grafting system: techniques and problem solving

Abstract

The Medtronic AneuRx endovascular device for the treatment of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms has undergone extensive clinical trials as part of a US multicenter prospective, nonrandomized trial comparing the endovascular device with open surgical repair for the treatment of infrarenal abdominal aortic aneurysms. In addition, extensive experience has been accumulated in Australia and Europe. This article alludes to some of the results, but the purpose is to discuss the technical aspects of the endovascular procedure.
