Abstract

The authors conducted complex examination of 200 patients with chronic edematic polypous laryngitis and determined the specific aspects of clinical and functional condition of larynx of patients before and after the surgery and described the course of postoperative laryngitis. The article proves that the functional pathology of larynx revealed in 66% of post-surgery patients increases the duration of post-surgery dysphonia. It is proven that application of neuromuscular electrophonopedic stimulation of larynx facilitates normalization of larynx physiology by the 14th day after the operation, reducing sonorous voice recovery period in average by 7–14 days. Application of the proposed method made it possible to achieve significant increase in the efficiency of postoperative treatment of patients with chronic edematic polypous laryngitis.
