Abstract
Recent research into the treatment of depression in children and adolescents has been focused on the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural therapy and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. There is now increasing evidence for the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural therapy and emerging evidence for a place for selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors in the treatment of depression in this age group.
