Abstract

Like most registrars, Laura Jacobs Anderson, university registrar at Willamette University in Oregon, didn't grow up dreaming of someday becoming a registrar. As a social work major in college, she went into the Registrar's Office to ask a question and mentioned that she worked as a checkout clerk at a grocery store. Shortly after that, the associate registrar stopped by the store to tell Anderson there was an opening in the office and suggested she apply.
