Abstract

In view of the problem that crowded stampede is easy to occur on the sightseeing bridge during the holiday peak period. Taking the stampede accident on the diamond bridge in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in 2010 as an example, this paper uses Pathfinder simulation software to establish the main body of the model, and sets three different scenarios of relative flow, one-way flow and emergency evacuation flow. Finally, the statistics and analysis of crowd density, regional risk and other data are carried out. The experimental results show that the risk degree in the middle of the bridge is higher than that of the two bridgeheads, and the east bridge head is more dangerous than the west bridge head, and the stampede accident is more likely to occur. The establishment of convective evacuation channel can shorten the evacuation time by 23 % and greatly reduce the probability of accidents.
