Making an impression of mobile teeth can be challenging because of the possibility of accidentally extracting the teeth while removing the impression from the patient's mouth.1,2 Various techniques have been reported.1–5 A recently published technique involves trimming away the plastic stock tray until the mobile teeth are exposed, using irreversible hydrocolloid impression material to make the impression of the sound teeth, and then using vinyl polysiloxane interocclusal recording material for the impression of the mobile teeth.
