Abstract
The rules of competition for the travel grant of $1,000 to be awarded by the Poultry Science Association for attendance at the 12th World's Poultry Congress are as follows:1. To be eligible for the competition, an author shall be an active or associate member of the Poultry Science Association, and shall not have reached his or her 46th birthday before December 31, 1961. Each manuscript shall be accompanied by a covering letter stating the birth date of the first listed author and his membership in the Poultry Science Association.2. Papers shall be judged on the basis of (1) selection and definition of a problem of importance to poultry science, (2) development of an original hypothesis with respect to its solution, (3) ingenuity of method and adequacy of data in testing the hypothesis, (4) an unequivocal outcome, and (5) elegance of presentation.3.
