Abstract
Objective To investigate the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic liver rupture.Methods Patients with traumatic liver rupture were retrospectively analyzed between June 2004 and December 2010 in our hospital.Results Twenty - three of 26 cases were cured,including 2 cases with bile leakage,1 case with abdominal infection and 4 cases with wound infection.Three of 26 cases died,in which 2 patients died of much blood loss in surgery,and 1 patient died in postoperative 6 hours due to lack of blood and coagulopathy.Conclusions Sufficient blood,reasonable surgical type,rapid and effective hemostasis is the key to treat liver rupture.Unobstructed drainage is an effective way to reduce complications.
