Abstract

The authors report two patients with torn middle meningeal arteries. In the first case a false aneurysm of the middle meningeal artery developed. This case appears to be unique because a false aneurysm of the superficial temporal artery was also present. In the second case an arteriovenous fistula developed between the middle meningeal artery and vein. Both patients recovered after surgical treatment. The authors stress the value of common carotid angiography in the management of these uncommon injuries. The authors report two patients with torn middle meningeal arteries.
