Abstract

We report the case of a patient with recurrent acute pancreatitis who developed a pseudoaneurysm of the hepatic artery, leading to hemorrhage and biliary obstruction due to compression. Given that treatment by endovascular embolization and surgery was impossible, following percutaneous biliary drainage, embolization was performed by direct percutaneous coil embolization with spongostan, under color Doppler ultrasound guidance. After a follow-up period of five years, the patient presents no evidence of disease.
