Abstract

Specific medication against the causative agent is the basis of treatment and is indicated in all active forms of tuberculosis, regardless of the extent and location of the disease. In the case of pulmonary tuberculosis, the elements that can guide the diagnosis of activity are the symptoms (which may be absent), the radiological appearance of the exudative or productive infiltrations, the presence of caverns, and, above all, the finding of the bacillus.  &nbsp
