Abstract

The expansion of pig production is due to the intensification of the animal’s breeding process. Outdoor farming systems have been replaced by intensive systems with limited space and high animal density. Due to confinement, a greater number of animals in a smaller space, in addition to greater animal turnover, there was also an increase in the frequency of certain diseases, including respiratory diseases, due to their form of transmission, pathogenesis and epidemiology.
