Abstract
Background: Society perceives waste as disgusting and dirty, so it must be burned or thrown away. Waste can come from daily activities in the household or activities in the business or industrial world. Literacy about Trash Banking is needed for mothers because waste is generated from household activities. The Trash Banking movement is expected to be able to reduce the volume of waste in Pekalongan. Method: Extension activities for PKK mothers in the context of "Trash Banking" literacy are carried out through a series of organized steps that optimize learning effectiveness. Result: The sorted waste can be sold or recycled. Waste can also be processed into goods with economic value to increase family income. Conclusion: Good waste management will ultimately increase family income.
