Abstract
Charging current-time J(t) characteristics for a polar polymer were simulated via a simple one-carrier model including traps with effective density N t. This model is used to reproduce the conduction current-time component J c(t) in the case of a typical polar polymer (PET) containing traps levels, which allows understanding the electrical behavior of the current at different values of external electric field via the effect of trapping factors.
