Abstract
The cornea of a 62-year-old man with Fuchs endothelial dystrophy decompensated following vitrectomy for macula-on retinal detachment and sequential cataract surgery. Descemet membrane (DM) endothelial keratoplasty (DMEK) was performed without complications. However, the inferior DM took weeks to attach without the need for gas re-bubbling. Three months after DMEK, the patient presented with best-corrected visual acuity of 20/32, moderate macular pucker, a clear cornea and a normal central corneal thickness of 535 μm.
