Abstract

The trap distribution analysis of CaSO4:Dy has been carried out using a fractional-glow technique. It shows that the TL process in CaSO4:Dy involves quasi-continuous distribution of traps with activation energies ranging from 1.15 to 2.39 eV in the 340-370K glow-temperature range. The trap spectrum of CaSO4:Dy reveals that the activation energies are distributed in a number of groups, with a prominent group, linked with the 495K dosimetric peak, peaking at around 1.40 eV.
