Abstract
O tema da liderança é objeto de atenção e ação em diversos tipos de organizações, entre essas, as não governamentais voltadas para universitários. O objetivo do artigo é avaliar o desenvolvimento de lideranças promovido pela Students in Free Enterprise – SIFE, ONG voltada para alunos do ensino superior em todo mundo. Avaliamos a “experiência SIFE” no Centro Universitário de Pará, em Belém – CESUPA -, no período 2009/2010. A metodologia consistiu de revisão bibliográfica da literatura sobre liderança e da realização de entrevistas com os coordenadores do time CESUPA na SIFE Brasil. As entrevistas apontaram para o uso complementar das diferentes teorias da liderança na “experiência SIFE” e para o sucesso da mesma na formação dos líderes, na opinião dos entrevistados.
