Abstract

Twenty patients were evaluated for possible oophorectomy during transvaginal hysterectomy. Of 40 ovaries, nine were removed with a standard clamp technique. Twenty-two ovaries could not be removed by the clamp technique but were successfully removed with endoloop sutures. Safe transvaginal removal was not thought to be possible for the remaining nine ovaries.
