Abstract
Objective To investigate the therapeutic efficacy of transurethral prostatic resection (TURP) with tension-free hernioplasty.Methods Thirty-nine patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia combined with inguinal hernia underwent TURP and tension-free hernioplasty under spinal-epidural anesthesia.Results There was no urinary incontinence after operation,the Qmax were all greater than 18 ml/min; And no hernia recurrence or incision infection occurred.Conclusions For the patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia combined with inguinal hernia,there was no increase of the risk when underwent TURP and tension-free hernioplasty in the same period,and it can avoid a second operation and reduce the hospitalization costs.
