Abstract
PURPOSE We studied the outcome of transurethral injection of Deflux® in vas deferens reflux. MATERIAL AND METHODS We identified prospectively two patients, 3 and 10 years old. They had repeated epididymo-orchitis and a left swollen testis. They were evaluated with testicular, renal ultrasound and a suprapubic Vcug revealing a vas deferens urine reflux. Despite a good medical treatment, recurrences occured. We decided to try a Deflux® injection to stop the reflux. During the cystoscopy, we found beside the veru montanum a left ectopic vas deferens meatus. RESULTS The transurethral injection of Deflux® was done till the closure of the meatus. With a range follow up of 14 and 26 months, there is no recurrence. The left testis is normal at physical examination. CONCLUSIONS Transurethral injection of Deflux® should be considered in the management of vas deferens reflux revealed by epididymitis or orchitis and its recurrence.
