Abstract

The nutcracker syndrome (NS) is a rare diagnosis and its management remains discussed. It results from the compression of the left renal vein (LRV) between the aorta and the superior mesenteric artery (SMA). It is often at the origin of a syndrome of pelvic congestion and chronic abdominal pain. We report the results of an original surgical technique for the correction of this anatomical trap.
