Abstract

The uncommon prevalence of transposition of teeth is well documented and described as a multifactorial process. Whilst not fully understood, transposition has been associated with certain dental anomalies and a fundamental genetic aetiology. This paper describes the orthodontic diagnosis and subsequent treatment of two sisters with transposed and impacted canines together with missing lateral incisors.
