Transport Support for the Development of the Far Eastern Region of Russia

Abstract

One of the priority areas of scientific research is the formation and development of the transport complex of the Far East. To achieve the goal of the study, it was necessary to determine the main stages of providing the Far East with transport, ways to develop the entire infrastructure of the transport complex of the region, to identify the main directions for integrating the transport flows of the Far East region into international logistics. The author analyzed the scale of general transport needs, the dynamics of their change in the process of development of the regional economy and the general socio-economic system of the Russian Federation. As a result, the patterns of interconnection between various elements of the transport complex were identified, which are based on the diversification of transport services, increased competition in the domestic and foreign markets. The authors gave a reasonable answer to the question of why it is necessary to improve the transport infrastructure of the Far East, directly affecting the state of the regional and national economy.
