Abstract

Transport properties of the long double quantum wires, expected to exhibit the effect of strong mobility enhancement in magnetic field, are investigated theoretically. We treat the problem of elastic scattering on the basis of obtained analytical expression for the exact T matrix of scattering by a single defect. It is shown that under conditions of the effect above, the Born approximation for scattering rate is not applicable and the higher order corrections, corresponding to multiple scattering of electron by the same defect, play dominating role in the momentum dissipation of carriers.
