Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the transport accessibility of the metropolis in the context of the problem of disability. Another semantic context of the work was the concept of "smart city", which is a modern trend and is gaining momentum with the development of information technology. The empirical basis of the work included a study of the urban well-being of a person with a disability, which includes two key methods: a questionnaire and a series of in-depth interviews. Along with the primary factual data, the article uses official statistics, as well as an analysis of the results of research by Russian and foreign colleagues who are developing related problems. The team of authors, which has a significant background in the field of research on the problems of people with disabilities, for the first time extrapolates it to the concept of a "smart city" and therefore pays considerable attention to the description of the works of foreign authors whose scientific interests are located between urban well-being, the concept of a smart city, transport accessibility and, of course, the social aspects of disability. Based on the results of the article, conclusions are drawn about the level of transport accessibility of the capital, and key features of the public opinion of people with disabilities about whether they feel comfortable living in Moscow are identified.
