Abstract

In peripheral heavy-ion collisions, localized, short-lived and extremely huge magnetic field can be generated. Its possible influences on the quark-hadron phase transition(s) and the transport properties of the hadronic and partonic matter shall be analysed from the Polyakov linear-sigma model. Our calculations are compared with recent lattice QCD calculations.
