Abstract

The study of transport in composite materials is approaching an important transition point. Calculations are now feasible on large three dimensional model systems. For the most part, these models are based on simple assumptions regarding the microstructure of the components. In the future, the challenge will be to incorporate more realistic geometrical information without limiting our ability to understand the qualitative features of the computed results.
