Abstract

Even with the changes and advances in the dental area, and from this a reduction in extractions by many factors, there is still a great culture in places of low socioeconomic condition of not doing more conservative approaches to the dental organs. There are several types of treatment approaches to dental loss, most commonly dentures or implants, however a certain financial condition is required. The present study reports the case of a 19-year-old patient, who presented great coronary destruction in element 36. By means of the conventional technique, in one session, the tooth 18 was transplanted to this area after the exodontia of the element already mentioned ( 36). After 2 months it was observed that clinically and radiographically that the transplanted unit was adapted to the new alveolus and the bone and periodontal ligament repair was normally occurring. Thus, it is concluded that autogenous dental transplantation appears as a good therapeutic option for oral rehabilitation, when a donor tooth is available, reducing treatment costs and time.
