Abstract

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of transplantation of the lateral tarsal conjunctival flap of contralateral eye for reconstruction of the upper eyelid layer defect >3/4.Methods Five cases of upper eyelid defect >3/4 were taken on the lateral tarsal conjunctival flap transplantation from contralateral eye.Postoperative followed up for 6 months to 1 year.Result The upper eyelid sharp and function were basically normal.The radial and height of bilateral upper eyelid were symmetric,with no angular deformities.Visual function was also normal.Conclusions Transplantation of the lateral tarsal conjunctival flap of contralateral eye for reconstruction of the upper layer eyelid defect >3/4 is safe,simple and effective.
