Abstract
A wide array of imaging applications, ranging from security inspection to medical diagnostics, rely on the design and fabrication of X-ray imaging scintillators with high spatial resolution at a low radiation dose rate. In a recent study published in Advanced Materials, Xia et al. propose a grain orientation engineering strategy to fabricate a large-area transparent ceramic scintillator with ultra-high X-ray sensitivity and excellent spatial resolution.
