Abstract
In addition to policy reviews discussed in the previous chapters regarding how transnationalization of higher education has developed in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and China, the present chapter reports fieldwork being conducted by the author in these Asian societies to examine how and why students have chosen to enroll in transnational higher education. More specifically, this chapter also discusses findings generated from the fieldwork when asking students who have enrolled in transnational higher education programs to reflect on their learning experiences from 2010 to 2012. The chapter will compare and contrast student learning experiences in these Asian societies not only based upon the fieldwork materials but also extended to examine how international exchange students comment on their learning experiences as additional perspectives in understanding transnational higher education and its impacts on student learning.
