Abstract
This study introduces a new lifetime distribution as an alternative to power function distribution and modified ones. This model is generated by using a method based on the distributions of lower records. We discuss some statistical inferences and mathematical properties of the suggested distribution. We consider five estimation methods for the point estimation of the proposed distribution. Then, a comprehensive Monte Carlo simulation study is carried out to assess the risk behavior of examined estimators.
