Abstract
A technique is described for determining the field in a series of cascaded, axisymmetric cylindrical cavities excited by a /spl phi/-independent source. The constituent cavities are axisymmetric but may have a cross-section that varies with axial displacement. A set of coupled integral equations are solved for the unknown electric fields in the apertures that separate the constituent cavities. Separate integral equations are formulated to determine the field in each cavity with a variable cross-section.
