Abstract

AbstractWe use a novel approach, allowing the inclusion of particle‐particle correlation in the calculation of current‐carrying states in open systems, to compute the exact transmission amplitude of an electron crossing a quasi‐1D quantum dot. The electron state antisymmetry is accounted for by means of a proper choice of the boundary conditions. Fano resonances, showing the peculiar phase discontinuity, are found.
