Abstract
The transmission-line modelling (TLM) method is applied to problems in electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). Simulated results for a field-to-wire coupling problem are presented, together with comparisons with experimental results. The comparisons confirm the validity of the model and its accuracy. The effects on resonances and field profiles, of placing a measurement dipole antenna inside a screened room are investigated. The resonant structure inside an unlined screened room and the same room when lined with radiation-absorbing material are investigated using a TLM model. The results confirm that the model developed can be used for the characterization of the entire EMC test environment.
