Abstract
In this response, we aim to clarify the relationship between code-meshing and translingual pedagogy, including the definition of code-meshing. We identify points of connection between Gevers' critiques and translingual scholars' own concerns about an overemphasis on visible language difference, and we discuss ways to move toward a more fully articulated translingual pedagogy.
