Abstract
A spectral energy function for the most tightly bound protons in the $^{6}\mathrm{Li}$ ground state is calculated. A highly collective, or correlated motion wave function utilizing the translationally invariant hyperspherical harmonic formalism is used rather than an independent particle shell model wave function. A local energy approximation is made resulting in a calculated full width at half maximum of 10 MeV for the spectral function. The mean removal energy calculated is 21 MeV. These numbers generally agree with experimentally deduced values.NUCLEAR STRUCTURE; $^{6}\mathrm{Li}$, $K$ harmonics, Spectral Function, independent particle energies.
