Abstract

Background: Cardiovascular (CV) guidelines promote evidence-based disease management. Yet, variability in clinician adherence to guidelines and patient adherence to medications presents challenges to optimally treating disease. Therefore, our goal was (1) to analyze current prescribing and medication taking behaviors; then (2) to implement targeted and corrective quality improvement (QI) initiatives.
