Abstract

The CDW transition temperature Tp and the SS (singlet superconductivity) transition temperature Ts of quasi-one-dimensional conductors are recalculated. The phase representa tion of the BGD model is used. The calculation is applied to the case g, < 0, where g, (g,) is the coupling constant of the intrachain backward (forward) scattering of the BGD model. A careful treatment of the cutoff energy CUD removes the divergence of Tp( Ts) when ii == (g2 - g, /2) /(J[VF)~ -3/5(3/5) which appeared in the previous result. When ii= --3/5, the CDW transition temperature Tp is expressed as Tp = SCUD exp( - 5J[CUD 2 / vFfa), where f k is the Fourier transform of the interchain CDW coupling. A similar result is obtained for Ts.
