Abstract

The methods of emission and absorption of radiation have been employed for measuring relative transition probabilities of spectral lines in Te I 214.3, 225.9, 238.3, 238.6, 253.1, 277.0 and 296.7 nm. Using known (radiative) lifetimes for the states 5s25p36s 3S10 and 5s25p36s 5S20, absolute values of transition probabilities have been obtained for the above mentioned lines: (310 ± 12) · 106, (128 ± 4) · 105, (405 ± 35) · 105, (810 ± 65) · 105, (109 ± 8) · 104, (122 ± 40) · 104, (84 ± 34) · 102 s-1, respectively, where the uncertainty is one standard deviation.
