Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to reveal transition of awareness of problems and policies for urban expansion in Toyama city. On the other hand, they have long had a policy of ensuring the convenience of living in the ever-expanding urban area through transportation. It can be evaluated that the accumulation of such discussions became the basis of “Compact city” policy.
