Abstract
AbstractAn efficient and transition metal‐free C(sp3)−H sulfonylation method is described for the synthesis of 2‐sulfolmethyl quinolines from 2‐methylquinolines and the inexpensive sulfonyl hydrazides. Generally, this protocol uses KI as an additive in the presence of the oxidant tert‐butyl peroxybenzoate (TBPB), an efficient and compatible benign method that delivers 2‐sulfolmethyl quinolines products in moderate to good yields.
