Abstract

Summary form only given. Since the initial demonstration of third order nonlinear process, nondegenerate interactions have been observed in the incoherent response of semiconductors. On the other hand, femtosecond transient four-wave mixing (FWM) has largely focused on the dynamics of excitonic resonance, since most of femtosecond wave mixing has been done under the degenerate scheme. In the study, we demonstrate a transition from excitonic resonance to frequency mixing for the first time, in the nondegenerate femtosecond FWM on the GaAs/AlGaAs multiple quantum well.
