Abstract

Transition processes and their influence on the evolution of nonresonant waves in the presence of a resonant field in unmagnetized plasmas are considered. The difference between the cases of regular and random resonant waves is connected with the stronger transition interaction of plasma particles with the nonresonant wave on density inhomogeneities which appear as a result of the resonant interaction of the particles and regular resonant waves.
