Abstract

Abstract The present paper concerns the transient thermoelastic problem of a bonded transversely isotropic infinite circular cylinder and a heated rigid circular ring. This is a mixed boundary-value problem and may be reduced to that of solving dual-integral equations. The radial, hoop, axial, and shear stresses have singularities at the end of the rigid circular ring on the surface of the circular cylinder. Factors are defined to evaluate the stress singularities
