Abstract
This paper presents transient motion of a viscous and incompressible fluid between two infinite vertical parallel plates due to natural convection currents occurring as a result of application of isothermal and adiabatic conditions on the plates. The method of Laplace transform is used to solve the problem. During the course of computation, an excellent agreement was found between the well known steady-state solutions and transient solutions at large value of time.
