Transient left ventricular apical ballooning syndrome — The need for a common terminology

I'm glad to hear that other colleagues agree with me that we need now a common terminology to indicate this new syndrome [1]. Pawlowski and Gil [2] proposed the name “Transient left ventricular ballooning syndrome” that can account for all forms of Tako-tsubo cardiomyopathy (both apical and non-apical involvements), simply deleting the word “apical” from the widely used name “Transient left ventricular apical ballooning syndrome”.
