Abstract

The structure of light intensity gratings formed in a disordered scattering medium under the influence of two beams of coherent radiation is investigated. It is assumed that the light wavelength λ ⪡ l, and l ⪡ l a, is the photon elastic scattering length, l a is the linear absorption length. The grating thickness in this case is of the order of an elastic scattering length l or the grating period L (when L > l). The peculiarities of the kinetics of four-wave mixing process and some new possibilities of investigation of the photon localization are qualitatively discussed.
