Abstract
AbstractA theory of the coherent anti‐Stokes Raman spectroscopy (CARS) of surface polaritons (SP) is developed. General expressions for the intensities of ultrashort SP pulses excited by the biharmonic pump pulses and expressions for the CARS signal intensity are obtained. The specific features of the SP pulse generation and scattering are analysed.
