Abstract

AbstractPre-hospital transfusion of severe trauma patients is developing in many countries, including France, despite a particularly demanding regulatory context. Indeed, there is a growing body of scientific evidence to support the earliest possible use of transfusion in hemorrhagic wounded. However, performing transfusion procedures outside the hospital must not lead to a reduction in transfusion safety, and can therefore represent real logistical and training challenges for pre-hospital emergency teams, as well as for the entire transfusion chain.
